Remotehead Birdy-Digital
Consistently built from carbon fiber: We've made the proven remote head even lighter and stronger.
Unlike competing products, our Digital-Birdy is stabilized in two axes, does not vibrate, and can be used with long focal length lenses.
With our computerized manufacturing, we can customize the remote head to fit your camera exactly, from the Toshiba IK-HD 5 to the Blackmagic Micro Studio/Cinema, if needed.
Joystick
The ultrasensitive joystick was originally developed for aircraft construction and has been used in our Birdy remote head control unit for years.
In contrast to competitor products, the joystick does not feel any zero point and thus offers the operator almost limitless application possibilities.
Control electronics
"Made in Germany": High-quality components are processed in our new digital electronics.
As known from the Birdy camera crane, the cameraman can adjust the speed and the "ramp" for tilt and pan separately, program them and control them via the display.
Two 12V V-mount batteries provide the power supply for monitor and remote head.
Birdy Arm
On a high-performance computer of the German automotive industry, the divisible arm was optimally calculated for stiffness and vibration behavior.
The individual elements are handmade from carbon fiber and have a length of 120 cm each. The entire crane arm has a reach of approximately 6 m.
The 6 tubes are delivered in a flight case and can be assembled within a few minutes.
